A night out with C & M

A little confused...

So, the U.S. voted in the first African-American president, and at the same time, Californians voted to deny the rights of gay couples to get married and to adopt. HUH? How does that happen? How do you take so many leaps towards changing a country, and then decide that some people still don't have their own rights? I am so excited that Obama has won and to see what comes next, but how do people rationalize denying anyone their basic right to love?

(To explain: Each state voted for their president as well as on several initiatives, such as the ban on gay marriage in California and other states, and the rights for gay couples to adopt. The thing that is beyond messed up is that gay marriage was recognized in California previously, so this vote actually took away a right that had already been awarded!!)

And in a single moment, an entire country is changed.

Please get out there and vote. The right to vote is the exact thing that differentiates a democratic country from any other. If you truly believe in democracy, practice it!! VOTE!!

Nashville Farmer's Market and Memorial Center

Too excited while we were in the market (fresh veggies everywhere!!) that I didn't take any pics in the market itself... but next time for sure!
My partner in crime.
A few of the 95 bells that make up the 3 star court in Nashville, right behind the farmer's market. The bells toll every 15 minutes, and play songs by famous Nashville or Tennessee musicians.
